Virgin America Crowned People's Favorite Airline by New Poll
Ever wonder which domestic airline is the best? A new poll from Airfarewatchdog reports that after surveying many travelers, it is Virgin America that earned the top spot.
According to Airfarewatchdog, the site polled 3,200 people about which airline carrier in the United States was their favorite. In a dominant performance, Virgin America earned 22 percent of the votes, while Alaska Airlines and JetBlue tied for second place with only 14 percent.
The eight-percent gap is huge and a testimony to how respected Virgin America is by travelers.
Southwest Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines managed to finish tied for fourth with 11 percent of the votes, and Allegiant Air was the sixth-ranked airline, hauling in only 9 percent of the tallied votes.
As for the airlines who struggled, US Airways finished dead last with only one percent of the people surveyed claiming it was their favorite. United Airlines and American Airlines weren’t much better, with only two percent of the votes.
As for the rest of the list, Frontier Airlines finished with six percent of the votes, Delta Air Lines finished with five percent of the votes and Spirit Airlines finished with only three percent of the votes.
