WATCH: Did Carol Burnett Have it Right 39 Years Ago?

Did the comedic geniuses from The Carol Burnett Show have it right almost 40 years ago?

Were they prescient enough back then to predict, or at the very least foreshadow, the way airline seating is structured today?

It sure seems like it.

Burnett, Harvey Korman and Tim Conway put together this skit from a 1975 show entitled "No Frills Airline." It shows just how vastly different seating is on a flight in which Conway paid an economy fare and Korman paid a higher fare that includes such amenities as lunch and a pair of headphones, even though the two men are sitting just a row apart.

With Delta announcing this week a new seating structure with newly branded names such as Delta One for its five-tiered seating, the skit is not only funny but awfully ironic.

And spot-on visionary and prophetic, to say the least.
