Now is the time to move to Iceland. Well, at least for British travelers.
For a limited time, WOW Air is offering free flights from the U.K. to Iceland for British citizens moving to the country of roughly 323,000.
Travel + Leisure reported the Icelandic low-cost carrier will offer the complimentary flights to Britons who can prove they're moving to Iceland before Oct. 1.
The airline will refund eligible passengers' ticket to Keflavik International Airport in the capital city of Reykjavik. In order to qualify, British citizens relocating to Iceland can email their booking reference, an image of their passport and proof that they're moving to [email protected]
Travelers must be planning to live in Iceland for at least one year and can provide proof of employment, a lease agreement or an acceptance letter from a school or university in their submission.
"We wanted to show how hospitable and welcoming Icelanders really are, and this was a fun and different way to do that," the airline's CEO Skuli Mogensen told Travel + Leisure.
WOW Air currently serves three airports in the U.K., including London's Gatwick Airport, Bristol Airport and Edinburgh Airport.
