Air travelers passing through Boston Logan International Airport can now enjoy a more personalized experience thanks to the roll-out of a new digital pilot program from Westfield.

Westfield's enhanced digital directories, which can be found in the airport's Terminal C, feature a plethora of helpful information ranging from retail and dining recommendations to live queue times.

Westfield is collaborating with Bethesda, Maryland-based restaurateur HMSHost on the pilot program.

While anyone can use them, the information available at the advanced digital directories is unique to each passenger, with the program taking into consideration what gate the person is at, when their flight is scheduled to take off and where they're heading.

Other notable features include the ability to scan your boarding pass barcode to receive turn-by-turn directions along with other personalized information and a search function that routes travelers to nearby retail shops, dining venues and airport services.

What's more, the technology is available in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic and Japanese.

"We’re piloting this technology to test and learn how to enhance the overall airport experience and give customers the power of information to help personalize their journey," said Westfield's executive vice president Dominic Lowe in a statement.

HMSHost vice president of innovation Jim Schmitz said the "pilot helps make the airport experience more efficient and less stressful."

Each Westfield digital directory station features two screens to accommodate multiple guests at the same time.

Assuming the enhanced directories are successful in Boston, we can only hope they become more common in airports across the country.
