In celebration of the National Park Service's 100th anniversary, Amtrak is showing its support for the National Park Foundation with a new series of travel packages.
Amtrak Vacations will feature six national park destinations with over 30 travel packages, including popular vacation spots like Glacier National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park and Crater Lake National Park.
The National Park packages provided by Amtrak Vacations also provide options for additional tours, outdoor activities and accommodations, such as touring the South Rim of the Grand Canyon or enjoying Glacier National Park with a Glacier Boat Cruise.
Yankee Leisure Group Inc. president Frank Marini released a statement about the partnership between Amtrak Vacations and the National Park Service:
"We are thrilled to support the National Park foundation and do our part to preserve the National Park for future generations. To help fund park education programs, initiatives to create awareness and preservation of the National Parks, the National Park Foundation will receive a portion of revenue from any Amtrak Vacations National Parks program."
Amtrak Vacations will also be celebrating National Park Week on April 16-24.
