Avis Car Rental announced Tuesday that the company will be adding thousands of new vehicles to its United States rental fleet over the coming months.
The brand-new cars will all be model year 2016 and will be available for rental at America's top airports and at metropolitan locations in major markets.
Some of the new vehicles being added include the Infiniti Q50 sport sedan, the Lincoln MKX luxury crossover, the Toyota Prius II hybrid and several other affordable options for families and conservative renters.
For those who want to live a little closer to the edge, there are several other options that are very intriguing. Travelers looking to do some offroading will find that the eight-passenger Toyota Land Cruiser will provide ample power with its 381 horsepower, 5.7-liter V8 engine.
Tourists looking to explore the United States in luxury should look no further than renting the Mercedes SLK Coupe, a car that combines performance with precision. On the other hand, the travelers looking to have a bit more fun should consider the Chevrolet Camaro SS. The newest version of the Chevy muscle car is one of the most powerful vehicles in the fleet, and is also available in both hard-top as well as convertible models.
Avis Budget Group president Joe Ferraro released a statement about the new cars being added:
"We can offer our business and leisure travelers a number of vehicle choices that are arriving at Avis locations starting this year and throughout 2016. And veteran travelers know that Avis reservations can be managed easily and quickly anywhere at any time via the Avis mobile application."
