Avis Car Rental Adds Four Locations in Indonesia
The Avis Budget Group is already one of the largest car rental companies in the world, and the announcement Tuesday that the Avis Car Rental brand would be opening four new stations in Batam, Indonesia makes the company even stronger.
According to Avis, the company’s influence in Indonesia has spread to seven cities and 17 rental locations, and the new locations in Batam include stations for the Batam Center Point Ferry Terminal, Hang Nadim International Airport, Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal and Sekupang International Ferry Terminal.
Avis Budget Group international president, Larry De Shon, released a statement about the ease of use for travelers visiting Batam:
"We are providing travelers with Pick-up Service to these new locations, giving them the easy access to rent and drive a vehicle from our trusted brand. We look forward to welcoming and serving new and existing customers in Indonesia."
The new stations will utilize vehicles like the Toyota Avanza and Toyota Kijang Innova, and offer patrons GPS navigation devices, child safety seats and fuel service options, on top of providing the company’s award-winning customer service.
The company entered the Indonesian market in 1977 and has now expanded to 17 locations across the nation, including Bali, Denpasar, Gowa Makaassar, Jakarta, Makaassar, Medan, Surabaya, Yogyakarta and now Batam.
Avis Car Rental now operates approximately 5,450 locations in more than 165 countries.
