Avis Secures Top Spot in Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index

Brand Keys is a research consultancy that uses its annual Customer Loyalty Engagement Index to help determine which brands have stood out the most over the last year in their respective categories.

In the 2015 edition of the Brand Keys Index, Avis Car Rental earned the No. 1 spot in the car rental category for the 16th-straight year.

According to a press release from Avis, the company was ranked No. 1 overall in all four behavioral engagement drivers. The categories include “convenience and expertise; comprehensible pricing discounts and options; empathetic customer service and reputation; and for offering a wide range of connected and reliable features.”

Avis Budget Group chief marketing officer Jeannine Haas talked about what the honor means to the company and how this is the result of hard work from the entire brand:

“We recognize that in today's wired world, customers have come to expect more from brands, so it's important that we engage consumers in the channels that matter. We continue to 'put the customer first' and invest in customer-facing areas such as, our mobile applications and our social media channels so as to enhance customer loyalty and continue to drive sustained profitable growth. We're thrilled to once again be recognized for our hard work.”

The Brand Keys 2015 Customer Loyalty Engagement compared 540 brands in 64 categories, and Avis pulled out the No. 1 spot again. The utter domination of the annual survey is made even more impressive by the quality of competition each and every year in the category.

Car rental is a huge industry, and Avis deserves credit for being the best for 16 consecutive years. According to the press release, the experience of the consumer is the top priority for the company, and Avis “utilizes numerous feedback systems, including online customer surveys, to enhance the customer rental experience.”

Avis listens to the feedback from customers, and as a result of suggestions from business and leisure renters, the company became “the first in the industry to offer a 100 percent smoke-free fleet in North America.”
