There is still time for a family vacation, but keeping younger children entertained during the car ride to your destination can be a tall task for any family.
Budget Car Rental has a simple answer to your problem: SiriusXM radio.
The company announced that the majority of its fleet of rental cars in the United States are now equipped with SiriusXM satellite radio. The service is available through each vehicle's factory-installed radio and will help travelers cater to the tastes of the entire family.
Not only does the SiriusXM satellite radio provide Budget customers with hundreds of stations of commercial-free music, but it also offers sports talk and live sporting events, comedy, news, entertainment talk and most importantly to families, an abundance of children's programming.
Avis Budget Group vice president Sonny Ritacca released a statement about the relationship with SiriusXM and the service it provides to families on the go:
"Budget renters appreciate value and that's exactly what SiriusXM provides. There is something for everybody, including channels for the kids, like Radio Disney, KIDZ BOP Radio, or Kids Place Live, top 40 hits on SiriusXM Hits 1, or live news that informs, entertains and inspires on TODAY Show Radio. There is also sports programming for those who want to hear their favorite team no matter where they go, frequent updates on traffic conditions and weather for major traffic markets across the country, and a whole lot more. We encourage customers to select SiriusXM when making reservations."
Once customers choose the SiriusXM option when booking their rental car, they will have unlimited access to notable programming that includes The Howard Stern Show, every NFL and MLB game, every NASCAR race, NBA and NHL games, PGA TOUR coverage and more.
Rental cars equipped with the radio service are available at most major airports in the United States, and the price ranges from $6.99 per day to $24.99 per week. The cost could pay for itself if it keeps the children entertained in the car - just ask any parent.
