Taking a cue from the big man himself, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is once again rolling through North America while it spreads cheer and a whole bunch of goodwill.

And you can get in on the festivities and possibly win a seat on next year’s adventure.

According to a press release, the rail line will celebrate 17 years of bringing food and donations throughout Canada and parts of the United States.

For those not familiar, the release states: “The two brightly lit trains – a U.S. train and a Canadian train – kick off their tours in the Montreal area on Nov. 27 and 28 on their way to visit approximately 150 communities.”

There is a good chance you may just spot one of the lines—one of which will finish in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, while the other hits spots across America.

The following video sums up the trip and its aim nicely:

As the above video states, you can come by and watch a bedazzled train roll through town for no fee at all.

However, food or monetary donations are gladly accepted and appreciated, aiding local food banks.

Those interested can take a peek at the official website for a list of the various locations set to welcome one of the two trains throughout November and December.

Now there is a bit of competition infused into the festivities as “Five lucky winners will win four tickets each to ride on the CP Holiday Train and have CP donate $1,000 in their names to the local food bank or food shelf.”

Just take a gander at the rules at the photo contest portion of the website, which spells out nicely how you can win a future seat on the train with some social media blasts of your own.

As the release states, there will be music amid the mirth including Jim Cuddy who can be seen in last year’s celebration below:

Cuddy shared his thoughts on the experience via the release: “The Holiday Train is an amazing expression of old-timey Canadian joy. To be on board an old, refurbished train and traveling through the nooks and crannies of this country is an awe-inspiring experience. As we pull into towns and cities along the way, we also see all the people assembled to celebrate and who are filled with the Christmas spirit - it is an incredible experience for those of us on the train.”

If you are in the area, you can see a bunch of cars gussied up in Christmas lights and hear professional musicians belting out a bunch of holiday classics.

And if you can, bring by what you can to support the food banks that work tirelessly all year round.
