Avis Budget Group and American Airlines Agree on Partnership Extension
Avis Budget Group, Inc. and American Airlines have announced the multi-year extension of a preferred partnership agreement. As part of the extension, Avis Car Rental, Budget Car Rental and now Payless Car Rental have been named the preferred car rental partners of American Airlines’ AAdvantage program

Lyft Has Arrived in Tahoe
To celebrate ride-hailing service Lyft’s arrival in the popular resort town of Tahoe, the company broke down the top six ski resorts travelers must visit while they’re using Lyft in the Sierra Nevada region.

Enterprise Names Christine Taylor Executive Vice President and COO
In a blockbuster move by Enterprise Holdings Inc., the company announced the promotion of Christine Taylor to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Taylor becomes one of the highest ranking women in the global car rental industry.

Amtrak Continues Pet Policy Overhaul
Amtrak has continued its pet policy overhaul with the announcement that it will extend and expand its current programs, allowing passengers to travel with their animals along the eastern corridor. Animals will also be allowed on trips less than seven hours long and on Acela Express via a weekend-only pilot program.

The Visit St. Pete-Clearwater tourism agency has partnered with ride-hailing service Uber in Chicago to offer free rides on Wednesdays. The campaign—dubbed Warm Up Wednesdays—is meant to entice Uber Users in Chicago into vacationing in Florida.
