Top Car Rental Companies in Europe Agree to Improvements
The Competition and Markets Authority in the United Kingdom completed its Europe-wide, car-rental industry review, which has resulted in five companies agreeing to introduce improvements to areas that were found to frequently lead to complaints. The companies include Hertz, Avis Budget, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Europcar and Sixt.

Uber Using Smartphone Technology to Verify Feedback
To combat against complaints, ride-sharing service Uber announced a new pilot program that will help the company verify feedback from drivers and riders by using smartphone technology like GPS and accelerometers.

Enterprise Exotic Car Collection Coming to UK
Enterprise Rent-A-Car is expanding its Exotic Car Collection by launching the brand in the United Kingdom. The branch will be based at Heathrow Airport, and the prestige vehicles and supercars will be available for delivery almost anywhere in the UK.

Amtrak Offering Two-For-One Deal on Texas Eagle Train
Travelers looking to get away from the Northeast during the winter have the opportunity to purchase two tickets for the price of one on Amtrak’s Texas Eagle train. From now through March 20, customers will be eligible for the discount package on trips to Little Rock, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Tucson, Los Angeles and other locations.


Avis Budget Group announced an agreement has been reached with SRS Investment Management. As part of the deal, Brian Choi has been appointed to the Avis Budget Group Board of Directors.

On Feb. 18 and 19, Amtrak and the Southern Rail Commission will be conducting a tour from New Orleans to Jacksonville on an Inspection Train that will examine new ideas for intercity passenger rail.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car has teamed up with UEFA Europa League to offer an exclusive and free contest which will award winners with VIP experiences at quarterfinal and final matches.

The Deccan Odyssey is an award-winning luxury train in India, and rail operator Cox & Kings has announced its new schedule of trips for 2016 and beyond, including a deal for customers booking before April 30.
