Uber Adding Scheduled Rides Service
To meet the changing demands of their customers, ride-hailing service Uber has added a service called Scheduled Rides. Now, customers can scheduled a ride ahead of time to ensure a car is there to meet them whenever they need, up to 30 days in advance.

Enterprise’s Pam Nicholson Among Top 50 CEOs
Enterprise Holdings Inc. president and CEO Pam Nicholson was named Glassdoor’s Highest Rated CEO recognition for 2016 as part of the company’s annual report highlighting the highest rated CEOs and recognizing top leaders throughout North America and parts of Europe.

Rail Europe Offering Major Discounts for Summer Travelers
For the travelers heading to Europe this summer, Rail Europe is offering a variety of discounts, including sales on Eurail Passes and deals on international high speed trains. The deals include $50 off a First Class Eurail Global or Eurail Select Pass and more.


Car sharing network Zipcar has teamed up with advocacy organization GLAAD for a new partnership during Pride month to help encourage acceptance and equality toward the LGBT community.

Amtrak officials have announced that the rail company has extended its pets program on Acela Express for small pets on weekends and holidays only. The extension comes just in time for the beginning of summer vacation season.

Executives with Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. have announced the formal approval of the separation of its car rental and equipment rental businesses. The separation is expected to be tax-free to Hertz stockholders.

To combat potential power outages that could bring service to a halt, Amtrak and the Maryland Transit Administration have invested $1.2 million in a new backup generator system at Baltimore Penn Station.
