Sixt Opens New Branch at Philadelphia International Airport
Sixt Rent a Car has announced a new partnership with franchisee H. Kulp Inc. that will include the opening of a new car rental branch at the Philadelphia International Airport. The company will feature a fleet of more than 700 cars.

Rail Europe Offering Discounts for Tickets in France and Spain
European rail distributor Rail Europe is inviting travelers to visit the iconic sights of France and Spain this summer at discounted prices. For any customer who books a trip through June 15, travelers can receive $25 off a first class France-Spain High Speed rail ticket.

Zimride by Enterprise Receives Award for Sustainability from Verizon
Enterprise Rent-A-Car service “Zimride by Enterprise” announced that it had received the Verizon 2016 Supplier Recognition Award in the Green/Sustainability category. Verizon employees began using Zimride for ridesharing and carpooling needs in Oct. 2015.

Lyft Allowing Users to Schedule Rides Ahead of Time
Ride-hailing service Lyft is testing out a new feature that will allow users to schedule rides up to 24 hours ahead of time. For travelers arriving via plane in a city, the ability to plan a ride ahead of time could make planning a trip much easier.


For fans of rail travel, Rocky Mountaineer and train-building company Stadler announced a new agreement to add several custom made GoldLeaf railcars to the Canadian luxury tourist rail company's fleet.

Apple officials announced that the technology company has invested $1 billion in Chinese ride-hailing service Didi Chuxing. The company hopes the move will help Apple better understand the critical Chinese market.

Passengers who use the Amtrak Hiawatha Service will now be able to use the rail service at night, as Amtrak will begin operating the route on Saturday nights through the Labor Day weekend.

British low-cost regional airline Flybe has announced an expanded partnership with car rental company Avis Budget. Customers of the airline will now have the option to add a Budget car rental direct through its website when booking a flight.
