Enterprise Announces Expansion of Car Rental Brands in Ecuador

On Thursday, Enterprise Holdings Inc. announced that its brands will begin operations in Ecuador in early spring 2017.
According to Enterprise, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands will serve passengers at airports in major cities in Ecuador, including Quito and Guayaquil. Over the next several years, the company will expand into other markets in Ecuador as well.
The move into the Ecuadorian market is part of Enterprise’s overall expansion into Latin America, where the company already has locations in 29 countries and a presence in 31 different markets.

“Ecuador is a key country for us, as it holds great growth potential for both corporate and leisure car rental,” Enterprise Holdings vice president Peter A. Smith said in a statement. “The Ecuador government has made significant investment in the country’s travel industry, making it an increasingly attractive destination for tourists.”
“Launching our brands in Ecuador will provide our loyal leisure and corporate customers from around the world with another travel destination where they can enjoy the high quality customer service they have come to expect from Enterprise, National and Alamo,” Smith said. “Our brands will also be able to provide quality transportation solutions for local customers in Ecuador seeking to travel for business or leisure.”
Enterprise will be partnering with Automotores Y Anexos (AYASA) in Ecuador, as AYASA will be the master franchisee for the company. AYASA has over 50 years of experience in the dealer and distributor industries.
