Enterprise Rent-A-Car will be increasing its international advertising exposure dramatically as it has signed on to become the official worldwide sponsor of a hugely popular European soccer league.
According to Enterprise, the company and the UEFA Europa League signed a three-year agreement starting during the 2015-16 season and concluding at the close of the 2017-18 campaign.
Enterprise hopes the conspicuously-placed logos will do their part to engage potential customers. The brand name will be found on perimeter boards during matches, post-match interview backdrops and throughout UEFA’s digital platforms.
This is an all-encompassing sponsorship that includes every game from the group stage matches to the championship. Overall, the deal will cover all 205 games, and Enterprise is hoping to reach the estimated 175 million football fans in Europe.
Jim Stoeppler, Enterprise Rent-A-Car vice president of European brand marketing, released a statement about the sponsorship and the company’s dedication to the European market:
“Sponsoring the UEFA Europa League is a big moment for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Europe. Our first European office was established in the UK over 20 years ago, and now, through organic growth, acquisition and franchise partnerships, we have a business that spans almost every nation on the continent. We anticipate that this sponsorship will cement awareness of the Enterprise brand across Europe and further engage with customers.”
The advertising deal is just the latest installment of Enterprise’s expansion across Europe. The company can now be found in 32 European countries, with more than 1,000 locations and a fleet of more than 170,000 vehicles.
