Last week, the Greyhound bus company announced that it had completely overhauled its official website in an attempt to reinvent the way customers plan and book bus travel.
With a modern design, simple navigation and rich content, the Greyhound website will now give customers the opportunity to find the best fares, book easier and check out travel tips and suggestions for their next trip.
The new design isn't just cosmetic, either, as there have also been many added features including new fare options, filtered search results, route details, travel policy specifics, inspiring travel content and a new look for tickets.
Greyhound Lines, Inc. Chief Commercial Officer Andy Kaplinsky released a statement about the website overhaul, saying, "We carefully listened to our customers and are excited for them to see how we've put their needs at the forefront with this new site. This is the latest in a series of big, game-changing improvements we are making to provide a better experience for our customers. Our goal is for customers to not only think of us as a company that is easy to do business with, but as one of the best options when exploring travel choices."
Kaplinsky added, "This is an exciting time at Greyhound. We are proud to continue to evolve Greyhound as a modern, convenient and affordable travel option to customers as we unveil these improvements - with much more to come!"
The company isn't stopping with just the website in terms of upgrades; it also launched BusTracker on the Greyhound mobile app and Greyhound.com. BusTracker allows customers to see whether their bus is early, on time or delayed by using real-time information.
Greyhound also made major upgrades to its fleet of busses. With improvements that include on-board Wi-Fi, power outlets for every passenger, leather seats, guaranteed seating, extra legroom, footrests and on-board restrooms, the venerable bus company is stepping up its game in a lot of new ways.
