Hertz Corporation Adds 235,000 New 2015 Model-Year Vehicles to Fleet
The Hertz Corporation is one of the largest car rental companies in the industry, and it is making major upgrades to its fleet by adding an astounding 235,000 new 2015 model-year vehicles.
According to Hertz, the company—along with its subsidiary brands Dollar and Thrifty—has added a plethora of new vehicles to its already massive fleet, from budget-friendly sedans and SUVs to high-end, fully loaded luxury models.
The company has added models from several different manufactures including Chrysler, Fiat, Ford, General Motors, Hyundai, Infiniti, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota, Volkswagen and more, which should give consumers plenty of options.
Hertz Corporation senior vice president, Tom Frese, released a statement about the addition of so many new vehicles to the company’s fleet:
“We are thrilled to bring customers across all of our brands not only a wide variety of vehicles but better vehicle options. With this refresh, we are continuing to diversify our fleet with a mix of models that includes some of the safest, most fuel-efficient and top-rated vehicles in the market. We are working hard to put our renters only in the best of what's available, while meeting a range of customers' tastes and needs.”
As far as the most popular models are concerned, the fuel-efficient hits like the Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry and Chevrolet Cruze have been upgraded as well. Add in an expanded luxury Dream Cars Collection, which now includes the Mercedes Benz C-Class, the Porsche Macan Turbo and the Mercedes CLA45 AMG, and there is something for everyone looking for a rental.
Overall, the additions the Hertz Corporation made to its fleet help ensure it maintains one of the most fuel-efficient group of vehicles in the car rental industry. With over 80 percent of the company’s vehicles having a minimum fuel-efficiency rating of 28 highway miles per gallon, Hertz is doing its best to go green.
