One of the most popular ways to travel in big cities is Uber, a ride-sharing service that lets people use their own vehicles to taxi customers from one place to another.
This popularity has caught the eye of Capital One, who have added a 20 percent discount to customers who sign up and pay for their trip in an Uber car using their Quicksilver or QuicksilverOne cards from now through April 30, 2016.
Conveniently, the card connects to their existing Uber account so passengers don't even have to carry it around. A further enticement for frequent Uber users: the first two rides after signing up for the Capital One card are free (up to a $30 value on each).
Uber has already become a popular means of transportation for many businesses, as TravelPulse's Patrick Clarke wrote about in April. His story covered a recent report on business expense trends by Certify, an expense management system provider. The company found that almost half of the ground transportation rides came through Uber.
