Nothing makes for a memorable vacation quite like a really good road trip. And why settle for a boring, run-of-the-mill road trip when you can add in some amazing scenery while you’re at it?

For most adventure-seeking travel lovers, a journey on wheels with Auto Europe through an exotic land is like the dream trip of a lifetime.

Spain offers a virtually endless list of attractive offerings that can prove irresistible to those who yearn to explore the most exciting regions of the world. There are of course many alluring sights to see, plus all of the cultural and historical attractions you could squeeze into one vacation.

Yet some people may not realize that Spain also can be like a paradise for those who love to explore at their own pace from behind the wheel of a fast ride. This means of getting around allows you to create your own route, follow your own customized itinerary, and stop and go as you please.

The great thing is, no matter what you look for in your vision of the perfect road trip, Spain has a route that can deliver it, meeting and exceeding your highest expectations.

Like lots of action? Start your journey off in Malaga, where there’s always a party happening. This is a great stop to enjoy drinks and dancing. If you don’t want to feel like you are on spring break nonstop, you can opt to stay in one of the quieter nearby beach towns.

We think an essential element of any good road trip through Spain should include a visit to Alhambra, a stunning complex consisting of a palace and fortress. You can take a guided tour to really get the most insight into this historical landmark. We recommend arriving there by way of the back roads, which will take you on a winding path through small villages and mountain roads that will test your driving skills.

While you are in the southern region of the country, if you feel the need for some beach time, a pit stop in Nerja might be just what you need. Then again, any route that takes you along the coast will surely offer a wide selection of beach options, ranging from the popular tourist spots to the more secluded private hideaways.

You can then head up to Valencia, to get a taste of all of the modern conveniences—and shopping opportunities—you would expect to find in any busy city. The small tapas bars are a highlight, plus there are many plazas and courtyards to explore.

For the cultural buffs, a stop in Figueres would be appealing. This is where you can see the most extensive collection of Dali paintings. As with many other locales in Spain, it can often be a good idea to stay in one of the quaint hamlets nearby in order to enjoy some quiet relaxation.

Of course, many would say that no journey through Spain would be complete without a stop in Madrid. Not surprisingly, the country’s capital city has just about everything you could want, including cultural attractions, historical landmarks, modern amenities and of course all the entertainment choices you would expect from a major city.

Whatever route you select for your dream road trip through Spain, Auto Europe can provide the perfect ride to get you around in style.
