Between Early Booking sales from Vacations By Rail adding value to North American rail travel or Rail Europe's End of Summer sale, now is the time to book vacations by train.
Rail Europe unveiled its End of Summer Sale of rail tickets and passes to such destinations as France, England, Italy and Switzerland. The sale cuts 20 percent off First Class TGV, Eurostar and Italo tickets and $50 off the Swiss Travel Pass. To get all of the following deals and discounts you must book now through Sept. 8.
The $50 off First Class Swiss Travel Pass is good for travel throughout Switzerland on trains, buses and boats. It also provides many discounts on travel with children and entry into over 480 museums. To get the $50 off you must use the Coupon Code: SwissTravel50.
The 20 percent off First Class Eurostar Tickets is good for travel between London and Paris, Brussels, Lyon, Lille, Calais, Avignon or Marseille and is valid on Standard Premier (first class) tickets. No coupon code is necessary.
The 20 percent off First Class TGV tickets covers high-speed connections between Paris and more than 200 cities such as Lyon, Avignon, Cannes, Bordeaux and on tickets within France. You must use Coupon Code: TGV20.
The 20 percent off First Class Italo tickets are good in what Italo calls Club Class, a realm of reclining leather seats and touch-screen TVs. Italo connects such Italian cities as Turin, Milan, Bologna, Venice, Florence and others. Use the Coupon Code: Club20
New North American Itinerary Deals
Vacations By Rail's Early Booking Bonus offers a pre- or post-night hotel stay or a complimentary coach class connecting tickets. Vacations By Rail unveiled four new U.S. itineraries in its 2016 brochure along with the Early Booking Bonus. Travelers who book any USA or Canada train vacation or rail-cruise package in Vacations By Rail's 2016 brochure valued at $1,000 or more per person will receive a complimentary pre- or post-night hotel stay or a complimentary coach class connecting rail ticket depending on what the traveler chooses. This promotion is valid for new bookings made by Oct. 30, 2015 for 2016 travel.
New vacation options for travelers include a vacation focused on the Lodges of Glacier National Park, a rail/cruise vacation to Alaska and an east coast urban and history-filled adventure to Washington, D.C., Williamsburg and New York.
The 2016 brochure with four new U.S. vacations allows travelers to discover the American west as well as the USA's top cities. The company has also extended its Canada Currency Exchange Rate Promotion, which can save up to $400 per person on 2015/16 Canada rail vacations and up to $200 per person on 2016 Canada rail-cruise packages. That deal does not include Canadian Rockies & the Calgary Stampede and Fall Colors of New England, Quebec and Montreal.
