4 Can't-Miss Cruise Deals This Week

Even after Black Friday and Cyber Monday have drawn to a close, the cruise lines continue to offer specials. Here are some new ones trending this week…
Fathom is now offering what is calls its holiday “D.I.B.S.” (Deep Impact. Big Savings.) offer for discounts on its forthcoming new social impact sailings.
Through February 2016, the line is making available three ways to save on Dominican Republic cruises:
• Receive discounts up to $400 per person ($100 in an interior cabin, $200 in an ocean view cabin, $300 in a balcony cabin or $400 in a suite).
• Bring along a group and third and fourth travelers will be entirely free of charge.
• Reduce your deposit by 50 percent with only $150 due at initial booking.
Plus, you can win a free trip on the maiden DR voyage on April 10, 2016 by signing up here.
Also through February 2016, the line is offering savings for those booking a cultural immersion Cuba cruise (pending approval):
• Get a $50 onboard credit for interior and ocean view cabin bookings.
• Get a $100 onboard credit for balcony cabin and suite bookings.
• Reduce your deposit by 50 percent with only $300 due at initial booking.
Holland America Line
Offering a View and Verandah sale on 2016 and 2017 cruises is Holland America Line. The promotion extends to cabin upgrades and discounts on select shore excursions and Collectors’ Voyages if reserved by Feb. 29, 2016.
For up to a $300 value, accommodations on select itineraries will be upgraded from an inside stateroom to an outside stateroom and from an ocean-view stateroom to a verandah.
For up to $3,198 in savings per stateroom, select Collectors’ Voyages can be booked at 25 percent off. These sailings combine back-to-back cruises for extended itineraries without repetition.
Combining the two aforementioned deals affords travelers the option of booking say a 29-day Pacific Treasure and New Zealand Discovery Collectors’ Voyage roundtrip from Sydney, Australia aboard Noordam on Nov. 22, 2016. If you reserve an ocean-view cabin, you would be upgraded to a verandah category, also while saving $1299 total.
As for shore excursions, 10 percent savings can be had if select tours (1,500 are eligible) are booked ahead of the cruise by March 15, 2016, a date extended beyond the View and Verandah sale.
Plus, travel professionals will receive Double GAP points towards a group when setting them up on select sailings with the View and Verandah sale. The Group Amenities Program (GAP) offers a selection of more than 30 amenities such as specialty restaurant dinners, theme parties, group photos, beverage cards, shipboard credits and more. If requested, another GAP option is to earn a tour conductor with 10 paid guests instead of the usual 15.
Applicable Double GAP sailings, according to the cruise, line include:
• May 2016 Alaska departures
• 2016 Yukon and Denali Land+Sea Journeys
• Mediterranean Cruises in 2016
• Fall 2016 departures in Canada/New England, South America and Asia 2017 Europe, Alaska, Canada/New England and Bermuda sailings
Norwegian Cruise Line
Norwegian Cruise Line has extended its Freestyle Choice promotion with deals specific to Hawaiian voyages onboard the Pride of America.
Through April 29, 2016, Hawaii bookings will include up to $980 in bonus value. Freestyle Choice Hawaii allows guests reserved on sailings through April 29, 2017 in any stateroom category to choose one of four bonus offers. Options include a free one-night pre-cruise hotel stay, a free Specialty Dining Package, free pre-paid gratuities for the first and second guest in the stateroom or a free $50 per port shore excursion credits in up to four ports. Guests who book a suite will get all four offers for a nearly all-inclusive cruise.
The remaining fleet Freestyle Choice promotion also continues through Jan. 3, 2016. Guests who reserve a three- to 16-day cruise in any stateroom category on any cruise more than 30 days prior to departure can similarly choose one of four bonus offers. Options include a free Ultimate Beverage Package, a free Specialty Dining Package, free $50 per port shore excursion credits in up to four ports or a free 250 minute Wi-Fi package. Guests who book a suite or The Haven by Norwegian will get all four offers.
Plus, the line is doubling the deal for its two newest ships, the Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Getaway, with the Freestyle Choice Pick Two Offer providing twice the bonus offers through Jan. 3, 2016.
Star Clippers is providing a $75 Amazon gift card for all new reservations made now through Dec. 31, 2015 for 2015 to 2017 cruises. Interested guests should reference the booking code SCTG to redeem the card.
Solo passenger and group reservations are not eligible for the offer, and only one gift card will be provided per cabin and booking.
