You may have noticed that MSC Cruises is in the news a lot lately - that is, if you pay attention to travel and cruise news. The cruise line has been busy growing its fleet and is planning to grow its North American market share, which means, those following the news inside - and outside - of the travel industry should expect to hear a lot more about MSC in the future.
According to Orlando's Sun Sentinel, MSC plans to launch 11 ships over the next 10 years.
MSC Cruises Executive Chairman Pierfrancesco Vago said the plan "is further proof, if needed, of our view that this industry presents significant opportunities for additional growth going forward for both our brand and product, as well as of our firm commitment to be best-positioned to capture them to the fullest."
And, the cruise line is not just focused on adding ships to the market in North America. They are going to build a 95-acre resort in the Bahamas with a cruise ship berth and more than 11,000 acres of beach space.
Here's where you can get to know more about MSC's expansion plans.
