After a successful first season of river cruising, Adventures by Disney is already adding to an already expanded list of sailings in 2017.
ABD has just announced that they will add an adults-only food and wine-themed river cruise to their offerings for next year.
"At Adventures by Disney we've had an incredibly successful first season of European river cruise vacations," said Ken Potrock, senior vice president of Adventures by Disney. "For 2017 we dreamt even bigger, expanding our offerings to include not only our already popular Danube sailings, but also exciting new experiences along the Rhine River. By adding this new food and wine themed sailing we're able to give our adult guests an even more customized way to travel with us, and the line-up of experiences we've planned for this epicurean adventure allow us to showcase the rich culinary stories of this region in a luxuriously delicious way."
Disney Culinary Director John State and master sommelier Brian Koziol crafted the itinerary, a new eight-day, seven-night journey through Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands. State and Koziol have a solid track record of successful culinary curations for Disney, including foodie fave Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.
The cruise will set sail from Basel, Switzerland and include vineyard tours and wine seminars led by Koziol, gourmet food demonstrations and workshops with State, guided walking tours in Riquewihr, France, to sample local delights such as sausages and macaroons, learn how to make a tart flambe in Strasbourg, roam the vineyards and pubs of Germany and more.
Once again, Adventures by Disney is partnering with AmaWaterways and this cruise will take place on the brand-new AmaKristina.
