Rockers and travelers rejoice in 2017 as the Monsters of Rock Cruise and ShipRocked both set sail. The former is scheduled to board Royal Caribbean International's Brilliance of the Seas with the likes of Vince Neil and Tom Keifer and the latter on Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Victory with headliners Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach and Alter Bridge.
Monsters of Rock Cruise
Of the two voyages, the seventh Monsters of Rock Cruise is the longest at five nights, calling on Georgetown, Grand Cayman and Cozumel roundtrip from Tampa, Florida on February 2-7, 2017. This marks the first time the theme cruise has expanded to six days with two added Caribbean destinations.
Also along for the ride will be Vince Neil "The Voice of Mötley Crüe," Cinderella's Tom Keifer, Queensrÿche, Night Ranger, Saxon, Stryper, Slaughter, Danger Danger, D*A*D, Soto, Tora Tora, The Answer, John Corabi, Beasto Blanco, Joel Hoekstra, Inglorious, Heavens Edge, Paradise Kitty and more to be announced. Over 15 musical performances will be staged throughout the ship and hosted by Eddie Trunk and comedian Don Jamieson (VH1's "That Metal Show"), San Francisco bay area radio host Nikki Blakk and Luc Carl (SiriusXM's "Hair Nation"). Plus, Metal DJ Will (Studio DJ for VH1's "That Metal Show") will be the sailing's official disc jockey.

Highlighted onboard will be Q&As, MOR Artist Photo Experiences, the first MOR Big Game Party broadcasting the Monster Football Game, Monsters Rock & Roll Formal, MOR Craft Beer Tasting, Monster Gong Show Karaoke and Cooking with Rock Stars hosted by Lisa Tirone of "Chef It Up!" and more special events.
The full ship charter aboard Royal Caribbean International's Brilliance of the Seas is on sale now with rates beginning at $1,099 per person. There's also the option to add a Pre-Cruise Party in Tampa on Feb. 1.
ShipRocked
For a different lineup, the eighth ShipRocked, self-dubbed "The Greatest Vacation On Earth," sets sail roundtrip from Miami, Florida for four nights, two sea days and a stop at Grand Turk on January 16-20, 2017.
Joining headliners Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach, Alter Bridge, Sevendust, Pop Evil and The Stowaways are Another Lost Year, Avatar, Cane Hill, Crobot, The Dead Deads, From Ashes to New, Lacey Sturm, Monster Truck, Mothership, Shaman's Harvest, Wilson and 12 Stones. Other sideshows will be Big Jay Oakerson and the S.D.R. Show, and the hosts will be Kayla Riley and Ralph Sutton.
