Royal Caribbean International is adding a host of new extras to boost the luxury level of its suites starting next spring - including a Royal Genie, who will make every wish come true.
The Royal Genie is a catchy new name for the person who actually is a butler but will handle nearly any task 24 hours a day.
The new Royal Suite Class - billed as "Luxury That Is Anything but Boring" - also includes free VOOM Internet, complimentary specialty dining, an ultimate beverage package, inclusive gratuities, preferred seating at select onboard venues, and upgraded room amenities.
It will be available beginning in May 2016 aboard the Oasis- and Quantum-class ships - Anthem of the Seas, Quantum of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, and Oasis of the Seas - as well as Harmony of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas when they debut in spring 2016.
Royal Suite Class will offer three service levels depending on the suite category booked.
For example, those in the highest level, the Star Class, will get the services of a Royal Genie, a butler certified by the British Butler Institute, who will serve as a personal assistant to help with nearly anything around the clock - making restaurant and show reservations, in-room dining requests, laundry, pressing, shoe shining, luggage handling and unpacking. In addition, the Royal Genie can whip up cocktails in the suite or help create customized shore excursions.
Suite guests also will get upgraded amenities, such as Hermès, Ferragamo and L'Occitane bath products and pillow-top mattresses. Star Class guests will sleep on Duxiana DUX mattresses and Frette linens.
Suite guests also will get exclusive access to the Coastal Kitchen restaurant. On Labadee, the line's private beach resort, suite guests get access to the exclusive Barefoot Beach and can reserve private cabanas. Additionally, Star and Sky Class guests enjoy a private Suite Sun Deck and reserved VIP seating in entertainment productions, like Broadway musicals and AquaTheater high-diving shows on the Oasis-class ships.
