The debut of two new ships in the Avalon Waterways’ European fleet – the 166-guest Avalon Passion and the 128-passenger Avalon Imagery II – are on the horizon.
Yet regardless of the ships in its fleet, passengers can choose from two full decks of Panorama Suites, each featuring wall-to-wall panoramic windows–retractable, floor-to-ceiling cabin windows–that invite the outside in, rain or shine, day or night. And, because the balcony is part of the stateroom, passengers can enjoy the entirety of their room, irrespective of weather.

What's more, Panoramic Suites are considerably more spacious than the average stateroom. With 200 square feet–30 percent more than the industry standard–guests have ample room in which to spread out, relax and enjoy the passing scenery.
Avalon Imagery II: With 52 suites and 12 staterooms, the Avalon Imagery II is the ideal ship from which to explore the famed Rhine River. The ship offers complimentary Wi-Fi service, an expanded fitness center, hair salon, an expansive Sky Deck (with whirlpool), deck games, a shade system, and alternative light dining options in the Panorama Bistro or al fresco grill lunch at the Sky Bistro. Passengers may also choose from
Leisurely, Traditional or Independent sightseeing programs (All guests taking part in a guided shore excursion are provided with headsets.) Passengers have a host of dining options onboard, as well from daily early-riser or late-riser breakfasts and afternoon tea to a Captain's reception with sparkling wine and canapés and a five-course farewell dinner. The Imagery II plies the Rhine, offering 14-day cruises from Zurich to London and the Romantic Rhine cruises, eight days from Amsterdam to Basel (southbound), and eight days from Zurich to Amsterdam (northbound).

Avalon Passion: With 18 itineraries from which to choose, the Avalon Passion is the must-see ship from which to discover the Danube and the great Central and Eastern European cities which dot its banks.
One of the more spectacular itineraries is the 27-day cruise from Istanbul to Amsterdam, which takes in the Black Sea and North Sea and the magnificent Danube, Main and Rhine Rivers. The Great Danube Cruise (with an extended stay in Bucharest) allows passengers, over the course of 20 days, to discover some of the continent’s best-kept secrets on this cruise through Central and Eastern Europe, from Prague to Bucharest. Along the way, guests will benefit from full buffet breakfast with sparkling wine and made-to-order egg station; breakfast buffets with foods that are low calorie, low fat, high fiber, low cholesterol, and high energy; and seasonal cuisine featuring only the freshest local ingredients. Four-course dinners highlighting chef-inspired regional and Western recipes and tastings ensure passengers won't go hungry.
Guests aboard the ship enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi access and use of computers at the Internet Corner, a Fitness Center with state-of-the-art equipment, a hair salon, an expansive Sky Deck with shade system, premium lounge chairs, whirlpool, deck games, and the Sky Bistro for al fresco lunches of light grill fare.
