Carnival Cruise Line is celebrating its 45th anniversary with a contest that rewards travel agents with cash prizes.
On March 11, 1972, the first Carnival cruise ship, the TSS Mardi Gras, set sail on her inaugural cruise from Miami and Carnival is celebrating with the Carnival 45th Anniversary Trivia game. Through March 10, the cruise line will be posting one trivia question related to the company’s history each day. The first nine agents to answer the question correctly will win a $100 Visa gift card.
“The cruise industry was built by our travel agent partners, who took a leap of faith with our fledgling industry in the 1970s,” said Carnival’s vice president of sales and trade marketing Adolfo Perez. “During these 45 years, agents have helped tens of millions of Carnival guests realize our founder Ted Arison’s vision that everyone deserves a great cruise vacation at a fantastic value. This contest is one more way of thanking agents for their tremendous support through the years.”
