Brand loyalty is important in today’s market, and Carnival Cruise Line is celebrating one of its most loyal customers who just amassed his 1,000th cruise day with the company.
The celebration for 67-year-old Baltimore resident Dennis Coleman took place Thursday on an eight-day voyage aboard the Carnival Sunshine that departed from Port Canaveral, Florida, earlier this week.
Coleman is a diamond-level member of Carnival’s Very Important Fun Person (VIFP) loyalty program, and he has now racked up more than 1,000 days exploring the world. He has sailed on an astounding 139 Carnival cruises over the past 12 years.
It’s not often that one person shows as much loyalty to a brand as Coleman has over the years, and Carnival is appreciative. To celebrate the moment, the Carnival Sunshine’s crew threw Coleman a party he would never forget.
Not only did the cruise line host a ship-wide celebration onboard in honor of Coleman, but the company also presented him with a number of gifts, including a Carnival ship model and a personalized letter from Carnival president Christine Duffy.
In addition to the gifts, Coleman was also given special VIP treatment throughout his trip.
