Carnival Cruise Line Spearheading Cat in the Hat’s Presidential Campaign

Carnival Cruise Line is embracing the 2016 election season by becoming the seagoing headquarters for The Cat in the Hat’s presidential campaign.
As part of the celebration for the release of the new Dr. Seuss book, “One Vote, Two Votes, I Vote, You Vote,” Carnival Cruise Line will be the temporary home of The Cat in the Hat and his running mates, Thing 1 and Thing 2.
According to Carnival’s official website, The Cat in the Hat will be on each ship in the cruise line’s fleet starting next week, and he will be campaigning in the name of fun, imagination and democracy.
The activities associated with The Cat in the Hat’s presidential campaign are included in the price of a cruise, and activities such as photo opportunities, parades, patriotic face painting and more have been designed to teach children about voting.

Child passengers will also create posters that will be highlighted during the Seuss-a-palooza Presidential Parade led by The Cat in the Hat. In addition, ballot boxes will be placed on the company’s ships so kids can vote for their favorite Dr. Seuss book.
“Carnival is the number one cruise line for families and we’re delighted to team up with our partner Dr. Seuss Enterprises to celebrate the release of this fantastic new book and the launch of The Cat in the Hat’s presidential campaign to help kids understand the importance of voting in a fun yet educational way,” Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy said in a statement.
