Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Journeys cruise series has been a big hit with travelers since launching two years ago.
As a result, the cruise line announced Tuesday that it has expanded the popular program, adding 13 new voyages scheduled to depart in 2018 and 2019.
The additional cruises will vary from 12 to 14 days in length and depart from homeports along the East Coast, West Coast and the Gulf of Mexico, including Baltimore, Galveston, Long Beach and Port Canaveral.
First up will be a 14-day Alaska cruise aboard the Carnival Splendor departing Long Beach on Aug. 25, 2018. The following month the Carnival Breeze will sail the Southern Caribbean. The latter cruise is one of seven journeys to the Southern Caribbean that will take place through Feb. 2019.
Beginning in Oct. 2018, Carnival will offer three 14-day Hawaii cruises aboard the Carnival Splendor featuring stops in Kahului, Honolulu, Kona and Hilo.
The Carnival Freedom will partially transit the Panama Canal during a 14-day sailing from Galveston in fall 2018. The Carnival Miracle will also sail a 14-day Panama Canal voyage out of Tampa Dec. 2-16, 2018.

While guests participating in Carnival Journeys are given the chance to immerse themselves in local culture at their various ports of call, the experiences continue onboard the ship, where they're treated to cooking demonstrations, local entertainment performances, educational enrichment sessions and a 1980s-themed "Throwback Sea Day."
"Our Carnival Journeys cruises have proven enormously popular with guests who enjoy both unforgettable landside experiences and one-of-a-kind onboard enrichment activities that this unique program offers," Carnival president Christine Duffy said in a statement.
The 13 new voyages add to a handful of previously announced nine-to 15-day Carnival Journeys cruises departing in 2017 and 2018.
Tuesday's reveal comes just one week after Carnival announced it received approval to begin sailing to Cuba later this year. Starting this summer, the cruise line will add Cuba's capital city of Havana to select itineraries sailing out of Tampa aboard the Carnival Paradise.
