Carnival Wi-Fi Packages Available Fleetwide By 2016

Carnival Cruise Line’s social media Internet packages, priced from just $5 a day, are now available on more than half of the line’s ships with fleetwide availability expected in the first quarter of 2016.

Additionally, the line is also expanding access to the new mobile app — currently available only on Carnival Breeze — to five more ships by the end of the year, and fleetwide by summer 2016. About one-third of the guests on the Carnival Breeze have been using the HUB mobile app, which lets guests “chat” with travel companions for $5 for the entire cruise.

Currently available on 13 ships, Carnival’s enhanced Internet access offers increased bandwidth and speed. The inexpensive social media package provides unlimited access to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn and Pinterest for $5 per day with discounted plans available for the entire cruise.

There’s also a “value” plan that includes unlimited access to the Web for checking email, sports scores, weather updates and other applications, and a “premium” package that provides the fastest available connection speed and access to video calling sites like Skype.

The HUB mobile app provides passengers with an at-a-glance view of the ship’s facilities and events free of charge. It’s available for download at the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The app also includes information on food and beverage venues, searchable deck plans, itinerary details, Sail & Sign account balance and more. Recently added options include the ability to pre-purchase the Cheers! and Bottomless Bubbles beverage programs and upload photos to be displayed on Carnival Breeze’s 270-square-foot Seaside Theatre during the voyage.
