Celebrity Again Hosts Southern California Wine Festival

Celebrity Cruises again will host the Great Wine Festival in Southern California on May 2 after the first such event was a success last year.

The Celebrity Cruises Great Wine Festival takes place from 2:30 to 5 p.m. May 2 at the Great Park in Irvine, Calif. A VIP hour is scheduled for 1:30-2:30 p.m.

The event is tailor-made for a premium cruise line like Celebrity, which has long-attracted clients with an affinity for fine wines and gourmet cuisine.

The event will feature more than 35 premium wineries, craft breweries, spirits companies, and restaurants.

Proceeds again will benefit the Legal Aid Society of Orange County, a non-profit organization that provides free and low-cost legal services in Southern California. Since its founding in 1958, LASOC has assisted over 500,000 people.

Tickets are $100 per person, although VIP tickets, available for $150, allow access prior to the public opening. Discounted tickets are available for government and non-profit workers, as well as sitting judges. Tickets can be purchased online here.

Sponsors include Coast Magazine, Yelp, FivePoint Communities, The Notice, Rutan & Tucker, Knobbe Martens, Palmieri Tyler, Hueston Hennigan, and Orange County Restaurant Association members.

Wineries and breweries expected to participate include Benziger Family Winery, Clayhouse Wines, Ferrari-Carano, Jackson Family Wines, La Crema, Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate, Quigley Fine Wines, Zaca Mesa Winery, Beach City Brewery and Firemans Brew. Participating restaurants include Golden Foodie Award nominees or winners SlapFish, The Cellar, Clay Oven, James Republic, Izza Neapolitan Pizzeria, and more.
