Crystal Cruises appointed Nenad Willheim as captain of its first luxury yacht, Crystal Esprit, and Paul Beswetherick as the hotel manager.
The 62-passenger Crystal Esprit is expected to begin operations Dec. 23 in the Seychelles islands and the Adriatic coast. The new yacht vessel is part of Crystal’s recently announced major expansion, which also includes river cruises, luxury air and three new ocean vessels with private residences.
Willheim is a nine-year Crystal veteran and formerly was vice captain of Crystal Serenity. Beswetherick will be leading onboard hotel operations, including food and beverage and guest services.
Crystal also unveiled new marketing and sales tools to help travel agents sell the new yacht cruises.
“I am thrilled to have both Captain Willheim and Paul Beswetherick be part of the inaugural team on Crystal Esprit, bringing their vast experience and leadership to our new exclusive luxury experience,” said Edie Rodriguez, president and CEO. “Captain Willheim brings the hallmark principles of the renowned Crystal culture in delivering our six-star service, while Mr. Beswetherick has a strong background in guest service and crew leadership, ensuring that guests will properly experience the Crystal yachting lifestyle.”
The Crystal Cruises Travel Agent Center has been updated with Crystal Yacht Cruises flyers, email templates and general information on Crystal Esprit, including a detailed sales training video, featuring Helen Panagos, vice president-marketing and sales for Crystal Yacht Cruises.
