European Waterways is offering "Downton Abbey" theme cruises on its luxurious Magna Carta hotel barge, and they are nearly sold out. Only a single cabin remains available on the May 29 and Aug. 21, 2016 sailings.
For fans of the hit television show, the cruises feature a visit to Highclere Castle, the home to the fictional Crawley family, where the series was filmed on location. Other TV and film destinations toured on the itinerary include Dorney Court from "The Other Boleyn Girl" and Cliveden House from "Scandal." Plus, Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace are also showcased.

"Tickets to these attractions are always in high demand, so we secure them months in advance," said Derek Banks, managing director of European Waterways. "It's an amazing experience to see the actual settings for dramas like 'Downton Abbey' and makes watching them an even richer experience."
The itinerary is a six-night voyage on the Royal River Thames that includes all meals, wines, an open bar, daily escorted shore excursions, local transfers and admissions. Cruise rates are $4,000 for the May 29 departure and $5,250 for Aug. 21, both per person based on double occupancy.
