Fusion Announces Hire of Maurice Zarmati as Cruise Consultant

Fusion, a company specializing in helping clients optimize their digital retailer websites, has announced the hire of renowned cruise executive Maurice Zarmati as a cruise consultant.

In his new role, Zarmati will be tasked with raising awareness about the various services the company offers.

The cruise veteran's resume is impressive and is highlighted by stints as an executive with Carnival Cruise Lines and Costa Cruises. Zarmati spent nearly four decades with Carnival Cruise Lines and was most recently the president and CEO of Costa Cruises North America prior to being inducted into the Cruise Lines International Association Hall of Fame a few years ago.

In a statement issued in Friday's press release, Fusion president Bob Dufour explained Zarmati's role with the company:

"Maurice Zarmati will be contributing his extensive cruise experience to help grow this sector of travel with Fusion’s website optimization services and ancillary offerings. No other company can match Fusion's optimization for ancillary options and now our cruise expertise will provide enhanced service to travel and tourism firms."

Zarmati also issued a statement, highlighting why he chose to lend his insights to Fusion:

"Fusion has impressed me in its partnerships with airlines, online travel agencies and other travel companies to increase travel insurance and other ancillary product offerings," said Zarmati.  

"Non-cabin revenue is crucial for cruise lines and cruise agencies.  Fusion offers exciting growth opportunities for the cruise industry with their website optimization for enhancing ancillary revenue.  They can also help with the newest innovations in mobile technology for travel bookings and enhancing the passenger experience with personalized cruising options," he added.

As it pertains to the cruise industry specifically, Fusion utilizes technology to identify audiences who have the potential to become customers. "This means offering passengers onboard amenities, port excursions, and pre- and post-cruise options tailored to their interests."
