One of the more popular themes for cruises today is music, but there has never been a ship that will rock as hard as the Norwegian Sky when the heavy metal band Motorhead takes over for the annual Motorhead’s Motorboat cruise.
Setting sail from Port Miami on September 28, passengers aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line vessel will make stops at such Bahamian ports of call as Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau. The ship will return to Miami on October 2.
Not only will guests be treated to a pre-cruise pool party at The Clevelander bar in South Beach, but passengers onboard will also be able to witness some of the biggest acts in metal come together for a hard-rocking floating music festival.
The stacked lineup that includes Slayer, Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies, Hatebreed, Exodus, Corrosion of Conformity and many others, in addition to the namesake band.
What makes this cruise adventure so much better than just a standard music festival is the interaction between the fans and the artists. Guests will be treated to musician meet and greets, Q&A sessions, contests, games, insane parties and many other activities.
The ship will also host theme nights throughout the journey including Under The Blood Red Moon Monday, Heavy Metal Luau Tuesday, Three Ring Freak Show Wednesday and Motorhead After Dark to close the cruise Thursday night.
Add in the fact that the Norwegian Sky is a beautiful ship with all the amenities to make any metal head feel right at home, and the one-of-a-kind Motorhead’s Motorboat cruise reaches bucket-list territory for everyone who has ever banged their head.
