Holland America Line is the latest cruise company to offer value-added extras such as specialty dining and shore excursions in a limited-time promotion.
The premium line’s Anniversary Sale, celebrating 142 years in the business, offers a shore excursion credit of up to $400 per stateroom, a dining package, free or reduced fares for a third and fourth guests in a stateroom, and 50 percent reduced deposits. Those who book a suite also receive a double shore excursion credit of up to $800 per stateroom, a 100-minute Internet package and a $100 beverage card good on soft and alcoholic drinks.
The deal is valid when an ocean-view or above stateroom is booked by June 1 on a variety of cruises departing this summer through winter/spring 2016.
Guests who book a seven- to 10-day cruise receive a shore excursion credit of $200 per stateroom ($100 per person), while those on 11-day and longer cruises, or on Land+Sea Journeys, get a shore excursion credit of $400 per stateroom ($200 per person).
The dining package is good for two people in a stateroom, allowing them to dine at both the Pinnacle Grill and Canaletto, the Italian restaurant. Guests on Signature-class ships Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam also get a third dinner at Tamarind, which has a Pan-Asian menu.
The shore excursion credit and dining package are valid for the first and second guests in the stateroom, while third and fourth guests qualify for special free or reduced fares. All booked cruises are eligible for 50 percent reduced deposits.
