Le Boat, which rents self-skippered vessels to vacationers in Europe, is offering savings of 10 to 15 percent on select models in France, England, Holland, Germany, Ireland, and Italy in September and October.
The boats are available to rent in many destinations, including the Loire Valley, Alsace-Lorraine, and Brittany regions of France, the River Thames in England, the Adriatic coast in Italy, and the River Shannon in Ireland.
Sample deals in September: A seven-night cruise through Alsace-Lorraine is priced at $1,440 instead of $1,600; seven nights on the River Thames is $1,620 instead of $2,025; and seven nights along the Adriatic is priced at $1,444, down from the regular price of $1,805.
Le Boat is also offering a discount of up to 15 percent on select boat models to those who book before Aug. 31.
Travel agents earn 10 percent commission per boat rental.
No boating experience or license is required for a self-skippered boating vacation. Le Boat offers the largest and most modern fleet of vessels available for self-skippered cruising. The boats range from small, sleek craft that sleep three people to luxurious vessels accommodating up to 12 passengers. Unlike conventional river and other inland waterway cruises, passengers have their boat all to themselves and can design their own itinerary to match their interests and the pace at which they want to travel.
Boats feature fully equipped kitchens, comfortable furnishings, showers and bathrooms, and air conditioning, depending on the model. All boats have heat. Instructions and an orientation are provided to first-time renters. For more details, click here.
