Long-Time Director Named Chairman of Norwegian’s Board

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) has a new chairman of the board and two new directors.

Long-time director Walter Revell was appointed chairman of the board of directors of NCLH. Revell has served as director and chairman of the audit committee since 2005 and as director of certain predecessor companies beginning in 1993.

Since 1984, Revell has been chairman and CEO of Revell Investments International Inc., a diversified investment, development and management company in Coral Gables, Fla. Since 2002, he has also served as a director of International Finance Bank in Miami and became chairman of the board in September 2013. He also has served as chairman and CEO of Pinehurst Development Inc., a family-owned company, since 1990.

NCLH is the parent company of Norwegian Cruise Line and Prestige Cruise Holdings, which operates Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises.

Revell served as Secretary of Transportation for the State of Florida in the Askew Administration. He is a past chairman of the Florida Chamber of Commerce and was a member of The Florida Council of 100 for 37 years.

Two new directors were appointed to replace two Genting Hong Kong Ltd. executives who resigned on March 3. Genting Chairman and CEO Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay and David Chua Ming Huat resigned the same day Genting Hong Kong announced it was buying Crystal Cruises for $550 million in cash from NYK.

Kevin C. Jones, a designee of Genting Hong Kong, was appointed director of the company. He is the general counsel, secretary, and senior vice president of corporate development and strategy for Genting Americas Inc., an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Genting Malaysia Berhad. Jones oversees all legal, corporate compliance, risk management, and strategic corporate development matters for the North American operations of Genting Malaysia Berhad.

Also appointed director was Blondel So King Tak, another Genting designee. So joined Genting Hong Kong as chief financial officer in July 2007 and in August 2014 was appointed executive vice president (corporate services) and country head of Hong Kong and Macau for Genting Hong Kong.
