There is a cruise experience that now offers guests the chance to make their very own wine while learning insider tips from one of the nation's leading wine makers. Talk about the ultimate dream trip for wine lovers!
Holland America Line's new ms Koningsdam-which recently made its maiden voyage-is home to Blend, an intimate experience designed with wine lovers in mind. Holland America has teamed up with Washington State's oldest winery, Chateau Ste. Michelle, to create a customized experience exclusively for Koningsdam passengers that combines entertainment with the educational.

After an educational presentation from one of the winery's experts, participating guests can then take part in a wine tasting to become familiar with the variety of available flavors. The highlight of the experience follows: the chance to create their very own one-of-a-kind blend. They can then bottle their creation, and adorn it with their own label. Guests can take their wine with them to enjoy in their stateroom or take it with them to dinner at the onboard restaurant. Blend can host this wine event for up to 10 guests at a time.
After the cruise ends, those who have completed this Blend wine-making program will have great stories to share-along with bragging rights that come with their very own wine label.
Whether you consider yourself an in-the-know wine connoisseur or just want to try a fun new activity, this will likely be a unique experience that will make this vacation memorable.
While this is certainly one of the highlights of the trip, there are of course plenty of other perks of cruising about a Holland America ship.
