Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ new ship, the 750-guest Seven Seas Explorer, will make its North American debut on Dec. 2, 2016, when it sails into Miami.
The ship — which Regent calls “the world’s most luxurious ship ever built" — will depart on its maiden voyage from Monte Carlo on July 20, 2016. Then it will operate 10 Mediterranean cruises before crossing the Atlantic on a 16-night voyage from Rome to Miami.
Once in Miami, the ship will operate a 14-night “Serene Islands” round-trip departing Dec. 4, 2016, followed by a 10-night “Caribbean Dawn” cruise sailing on Dec. 18. The Seven Seas Explorer will ring in the New Year with a 16-night “Grand Canal Crossing” from Miami to Los Angeles with stops throughout the Caribbean and Central America.
“Seven Seas Explorer has been a labor of love for our CEO, Frank Del Rio, Executive Vice President of Vessel Operations, Robin Lindsay, and the entire Regent Seven Seas Cruises team, so it’s exciting to have this ship, the most luxurious ship ever built, make its North American debut in our hometown of Miami,” said Regent president and COO Jason Montague.
Meanwhile, its fleetmate, the 490-passenger Seven Seas Navigator will sail 20 Mediterranean voyages before embarking Oct. 23, 2016, on a 24-night “African Expedition” that concludes in Cape Town. The ship will continue exploring Africa on a 15-night “Sumptuous Safaris” voyage on Nov. 16 before finishing off the year with an exotic 35-night sailing from Cape Town to Miami. All three Africa voyages offer complimentary pre- or post-cruise African safaris for guests booked in a Concierge Suite or higher.
