Norwegian Cruise Line will have a new presence in the Tampa., Fla., area this winter. Their new ship, the Norwegian Jade, is making its debut at that port. The ship is the newest addition to Port Tampa Bay, and is offering travelers some attractive new options for trips departing from that location for the fall and winter travel season.
The Norwegian Jade accommodates 2,400 passengers, and provides a luxury vacation on the water. It is like a destination in itself, thanks to all of the amazing features and amenities the ship provides. Play all of your favorite games in the award-winning casino, or enjoy a delicious meal (or decadent treat) at any of the 15 dining options.
All staterooms and suites are outfitted for complete comfort, and feature stylish décor. Many also boast stunning ocean views, along with private balconies. This vessel fills the role previously served by the Norwegian Star, which departed from Tampa during the last cruise season.
Those eager to visit the Western Caribbean will be able to embark on 7-day voyages to that region which leave on Sundays. Two eight-day Western Caribbean trips are available, as well, and can give guests a chance to spend the holidays or the end of the year in a great tropical location. Ports on this route include Cozumel, Mexico; Costa Maya, Mexico; Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras; and Harvest Caye in Belize.

Harvest Caye is a big draw, and is sure to be one of the main highlights of this trip. This natural paradise is a 75-acre utopia that will be your own personal slice of tropical heaven. The huge pool features a swim-up bar, and the seven acres of beachfront perfection is the perfect place for a nice relaxing stroll as you watch the sun disappear into the horizon. Home to the world's second-largest barrier reef, this is an experience that divers and snorkelers will not want to miss.
Travelers who would prefer a longer getaway also have some great options. There will be a pair of 10-day and 11-day Eastern Caribbean cruises available, marking the first time Norwegian has offered cruises longer than a week departing from Tampa. These cruises will be available in January and March. Ports in the 10-day itinerary include Key West, Florida; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. John's, Antigua; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Each stop represents a breathtaking locale and exciting adventure in itself.
