Seabourn's luxurious new Seabourn Encore will not be officially christened by Sarah Brightman until January 7, 2017, in Singapore, but the ship has already been delivered with most of her venues ready to be seen in the slideshow embedded below.

Having recently sailed on the Seabourn Quest, the newest in the luxury fleet before the Encore, I can say the line's cruise product is stellar to begin with, but the latest is set to raise the bar even more. From an architectural standpoint, the 40,350-GRT Seabourn Encore looks to mostly be the same as her Odyssey-class predecessors, but, in fact, the new ship is a bit larger overall with an added deck.
From the outside, this means the ship now sports 300 total verandah suites to accommodate 600 guests, and the bow is taller above the waterline this time around as it has been raised up by one deck. The original design was already remarkably stable for a ship of its size, and now a higher bow will ensure even greater resistance against oncoming waves.
New elsewhere on the ship exterior is The Retreat for private shaded al fresco lounging on the top deck available for an added cost. For those content with public deck space, the pool deck has also been redesigned a bit as well.

Overall, the interior spaces reflect a handsome update over the predecessors' thanks to the work of hospitality designer Adam D. Tihany. The classic atrium still soars as it reaches classic venues like Seabourn Square, now opened up with a more circular layout and curving lines.
Meanwhile, The Restaurant retains its great high vaulted ceiling with a bit more visual interest in the form of angular ceiling details and bursting chandeliers. The Colonnade buffet has also been retooled to be more spacious with an improved flow for food service as well as seating.
Altogether, it's great to see how well the initial ship renderings have been realized, especially after the impressive redesign Tihany oversaw of Restaurant 2 into The Grill by Thomas Keller on the Seabourn Quest, which was a standout on that ship set to be reprised on the Seabourn Encore in an even larger setting.
