Pleasant Holidays Offers American Queen Steamboat Mississippi River Cruises
Pleasant Holidays put 2014 river cruises on the American Queen Steamboat up for sale. The cruises explore the Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee and Cumberland rivers. A number of themed cruises are planned. The all-inclusive programs range between five and 10 days in length. Departures are available from late February 2014 through New Year’s 2015, from New Orleans, Memphis, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Nashville and Chattanooga.
Springtime itineraries feature the greater New Orleans and Memphis areas along the lower Mississippi River, visiting various ports and sights. Themes include Big Band Swing, Mardi Gras, Southern Culture, Gardens of the River and Civil War.
The 2014 summer season starts with an Elvis cruise. As the season progresses, itineraries move farther north to Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, St. Louis and St. Paul. Themes of various departures include Delta Blues, Good Old Summertime, Fourth of July Celebration, Music of the 50s, Music of the 60s, Baseball Legends and Bluegrass and Brews.
