Cruise ships make the perfect backdrop for a love story, and Princess Cruises is taking that notion to the next level by offering passengers free love stories on select voyages.
Princess announced Wednesday that it would be teaming up with Amazon's online romance community Kindle Love Stories to offer guests three free stories to enjoy during special sailings with bestselling romance authors.
The themed cruise will be a five-day Eastern Caribbean cruise aboard Regal Princess, which will depart from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on Nov. 3. Onboard the vessel will be world-renowned authors Carolyn Brown, Heather Burch and Barbara Longley, whose stories will be given to passengers free of charge.
The cruise will also feature New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Linda Lael Miller, and all of the authors aboard the ship for this journey will be available for meet-and-greets, book club discussions and book signings.
Princess Cruises Vice President Adrian Fischer released a statement about the cruise:
"We strive to provide engaging experiences for our guests and we know they love to read, especially while on vacation, so teaming up with Kindle Love Stories is a perfect match. As part of our newly re-launched Princess Book Club, avid readers will be able to participate in exciting onboard events and enjoy great stories inspired by a Princess cruise."
Passengers who would like to retrieve their free copies of the short love stories can simply use any device that supports the Kindle app and download the reading material starting in October from the official Amazon website.
