Regent Seven Seas Cruises has released a first look at the posh pool deck in the works for the new 750-guest Seven Seas Explorer, due out in July 2016.
Inspired by high-end pool retreats at exclusive boutique hotels, the Deck 11 oasis will feature Southeast Asian design elements and Caribbean accents — think teak, natural stone, marble, and sea-inspired ceramic tiles.
Surrounding the pool will be plush oversized lounge chairs and circular sunbeds befitting what the company boasts will be “the world’s most luxurious ship.”
The pool will have a large 3-inch-deep section for those who just want to dip their toes into the water. Two hot tubs will be shaded by contemporary overhangs. The area will have a center stage for poolside performances. The adjacent Pool Grill will serve breakfast, lunch, snacks, sweets and drinks.
One deck up, a dedicated sports area will offer shuffleboard, putting greens, golf nets, a bocce court, paddle tennis and a jogging track.
The maiden voyage for the 56,000-ton Seven Seas Explorer will be a 14-night sailing from Monte Carlo to Venice departing July 20, 2016. The ship will remain in Europe for the majority of its inaugural season, sailing 11 Mediterranean voyages before its North American debut in Miami in December.
