Seabourn opened reservations for its new ship, the Seabourn Encore, which is scheduled to enter service in December 2016 with some pretty exotic itineraries to Arabia, India, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Following the ship’s delivery, the Seabourn Encore will operate two pre-inaugural cruises before its official maiden voyage. It will depart Athens on Dec. 4, 2016, on a 16-day pre-inaugural cruise to Dubai, calling at Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, Israel; Petra, Jordan; and Muscat, Oman. The second pre-inaugural voyage departs Dubai on Dec. 20 on an 18-day cruise to Singapore via Arabia, India and Southeast Asia.
On Jan. 7, 2017, Seabourn Encore will officially be named in a gala ceremony in Singapore. Then vessel will embark on its 10-day official inaugural voyage to Bali, stopping in Surabaya, Java; Celukan Bawang, Bali; and Slawi Bay, Komodo, Indonesia.
The rest of the maiden season, Seabourn Encore will operate 16-day voyages in Australia and New Zealand.
In April 2017, Seabourn Encore will return to Europe with two 16- and 18-day Arabia and India voyages and then will spend the summer operating seven-day Eastern Mediterranean cruises.
The 40,350-ton, 604-guest Seabourn Encore will have one more additional deck than its three Odyssey-class sister ships, creating space for expanded public areas. Every suite will feature a private veranda.
A sister ship, Seabourn Ovation, will join the fleet in 2018.
