Seabourn Wins ‘Finest Cruise Line Dining’ Award
Seabourn Cruise Line has been awarded the 2015 Good Taste Award for “Finest Cruise Line Dining” by culinary magazine Saveur.
The inaugural Good Taste Awards were celebrated by the magazine at a reception in New York City on Oct. 13, and Seabourn — along with all of the other winners — will appear in the October issue.
This is not the first award Seabourn has won from Saveur, either, as the company was also named the "Best Culinary Cruise Line" in the magazine's Culinary Travel Awards in 2013 and 2014.
Seabourn President Richard D. Meadows released a statement about winning the award, saying, “Saveur's 2015 Good Taste Award is a great honor because we know that exceptional dining plays an important part in the overall satisfaction of our guests. Our number one priority is to offer outstanding guest experiences, and we're extremely grateful for our incredibly talented culinary teams to be celebrated.”
As TravelPulse’s James Shillinglaw reported in September, Seabourn recently announced a partnership with world-renowned Chef Thomas Keller. The cuisine on the ships is already award-winning, but the addition of Keller-inspired menus onboard the Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Quest and Seabourn Sojourn will only help the company solidify its place as one of the best culinary cruise lines in the world.
The upgrades are just the latest in a long line of focus Seabourn has put on food and drink. In addition to the top-flight cuisine, the company also offers specialty cruises dedicated to food and wine.
