Seabourn's Distinguished Speaker Lineup Has Been Revealed
Luxury cruise line Seabourn has announced the highly anticipated lineup for its Seabourn Conversations program slated for upcoming cruises in late 2015 and early 2016.
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and former CBS news anchor Dan Rather headline the list of lecturers, which also includes Forbes Media chairman and editor-in-chief Steve Forbes. The aforementioned speakers will engage in presentations for passengers, and will potentially participate in other aspects of the cruise, including dining and onshore events.
"We always seek the most engaging speakers to participate in our Seabourn Conversations program on Seabourn vessels around the world," said John Delaney, the Seattle-based cruise line's vice president of marketing and sales, in a statement. "With global perspectives drawn from personal experiences in the realms of culture, history, innovation, adventure and art, we're very excited to welcome the line-up of distinguished speakers for our guests."
Wozniak is scheduled to appear on the Seabourn Odyssey's 20-day Holiday Panama Canal cruise later this year. The voyage will depart from Fort Lauderdale on Dec. 15, 2015 and arrive in Los Angeles on Jan. 4, 2016 after celebrating Christmas and New Year's on the high seas.
Rather will lecture on the Seabourn Odyssey's 20-day Panama Canal cruise in 2016, joining guests on the vessel from March 21-24.
The rest of the program's featured speakers, including Forbes, will take part in Seabourn's whopping 77-day Pacific Realm Exploration. The lengthy roundtrip voyage from L.A. will also take place on the Seabourn Odyssey, departing on Jan. 4, 2016 and returning on March 21, following a visit to Sydney, Australia.
Royal portrait-painting artist Richard Stone, adventurer Paul Deegan, and author and filmmaker Warren Fahey are among the other experts set to present to guests aboard the 77-day voyage.
